Psalm 133: “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!   It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard……… For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.”
Worship is a common passion of every Christian, church and ministry.  As such, a call to exalt Christ the King is a good way to unite the body of Christ within a community.  Such unity among God’s children brings forth the anointing and blessings of God that we need for the transformation of our communities. In essence, WTK is a staff-supported student-led movement that seeks to unite the campus ministries as well as the local churches to bring about the transformation of our campus, city and region!

Goals of Fall WTK: The Fall WTK is to take place in the Dome at the end of the third week of classes. Its primary goal is to reverse the sad reality that 70% of incoming Christian students lose their faith upon entering the university. Accordingly, Fall WTK aims to involve returning students from each campus ministry to attract as many incoming Christian students as possible (freshmen, transfers and graduate students) into their respective ministries. With this goal in mind, we plan to e-vite all incoming Christian students to this music night with an offer for mentorship.  We will also use social media, posters, invitation cards, T-shirts, bulletin boards and banners to get the word out. The event will show the incoming students the fun of being a Christian on campus. It will also encourage them to connect with a campus ministry, local church and a Christian faculty for their well being on campus and success in their academic pursuits. It is our hope that such a focus will end in every ministry group doubling in numbers and having multiple years to strengthen the faith of their students.  The secondary goal of Fall WTK is to let the unity among the ministries on campus inspire the local churches also to come together to Worship the King in the dome. It is our hope that this unity among churches and partnership with campus ministries will usher in a Syracuse Revival that will transform our communities.

Goals of Spring WTK: The Spring WTK is to take place in Hendricks Chapel on the day of Mayfest. Its primary goal is to serve as a wholesome alternative to the various Mayfest activities that tend to tempt the Christian students. The secondary goal of Spring WTK is to celebrate the successful end of an academic year. The event will also commission graduating Christian students from the various campus ministries to go and be the salt and light of this world. A final goal of spring WTK is to identify and train student leaders from the various ministries for reaching out to the incoming Christian students during the Fall WTK.
